Morning: Start your day with a visit to the Spice Farm on Zanzibar Island, famously known as Spice Island for its rich variety of spices and herbs. During this tour, you will explore the Jambo and Tangawizi Spice Farms, where you can learn about, smell, and taste a range of spices, herbs, and tropical fruits native to Zanzibar.

Some of the spices and fruits you can expect to encounter include cloves, lemongrass, nutmeg, cinnamon, turmeric, vanilla, coconuts, papaya, chili, black pepper, jackfruit, cardamom, cassava, and many more.

Here are some key highlights of the Spice Farm experience:

Learn about Zanzibar’s historical significance in the global spice trade, and why it is referred to as the “Spice Island.”
Observe how spices such as cloves, vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon, and cardamom are grown and harvested.
Participate in a fun spice quiz or a demonstration led by local farmers.

Historic sites; During your time in Stone Town, you’ll have the opportunity to explore key historic sites, including the Old Fort, the House of Wonders, the Palace Museum, Hamamni Baths, the Former Slave Market, Freddie Mercury House, and the bustling Forodhani Gardens.
Market Visits: Additionally, you can visit local markets, such as Darajani Market, to experience everyday life, where you’ll encounter fresh produce, spices, and crafts.

Prison Island Tour

Evening: Your tour concludes with a visit to Prison Island, also known as Changuu Island. You can explore the remnant of the old prison and learn about its historical significance.
