This is one of our most recommended activities in Zanzibar, where you can swim and snorkel at three different spots (Dolphins, relaxing at the Sandbanks, and Snorkeling at the Mnemba Reef. Mnemba Island was ranked #1 Best Beach Destination in Africa by Tripsavvy.

On This Trip, we normally encounter pods of bottlenose dolphins between 10 to 20 which are usually in grey color, measure two to four meters in length, and have a curved mouth giving the appearance that they always smiling.

Mnemba Island reef is well known for the excellent clarity of its waters ( for this area of the Indian Ocean) and the unusually prolific and diverse corals and tropical marine life where you can able to spot different species of fish while Snorkeling.

Some species you can see while snorkeling at Mnemba Reef include; Angel Fish, Blue Spotted Rays, Black Snappers, Groupers, Red Tooth Triggers, Flounder, Octopuses, Leaf Fish, Scorpion Fish, Stone Fish, Frog Fish, and lots of Trevallies.

Mnemba Island is connected with a Sandbank (Sandbar) that is only accessible at low tides, The beach around the Sandbank is so beautiful with crystal clear water and white sand.

Itinerary

This is 3 in 1, Includes three different activities; Dolphin Tour, Snorkeling at Mnemba reef, and Sandbank.

We will start with the Dolphins tour; Dolphins can be found at Kombe, Tangini, West garden, Kichwani, or nearby Mnemba Island, those areas are located northeast of Zanzibar Island with no big crowds of tourists, and you will spot groups of 10-30 dolphins so closer and around this area and they are more than 1000 of Dolphins.

Even though Dolphins are wild animals and there are at Open sea where they can go anywhere but the chance of seeing Dolphins is 95%,

After Dolphins we will go to Mnemba Island reef, It is one of the best reefs on the Planet, where you can see a lot of different species of fishes around this area. For Snorkel lovers they can call it a Haven Magical. A lot of people try to Compare the Mnemba reef and Other most famous reefs in the world like The great barrier reef in Australia but all of these reefs got their own uniqueness.

Lastly, we will go to the Sandbank located nearby Mnemba. The water nearby the Sandbank is incredibly clean and so flat. It looks like a natural pool. It is the best place for relaxing, swimming, Kids playing with the sand, and taking memorable pictures

There will be many bottles of water on the boat, it is good to be hydrated while swimming, and snorkeling so you can drink as much as you can. we will also have fruit snacks. Also, we won’t rush you as it is a private trip, you can stay as long as you want on this trip.
