This is a private Eco Tour, where you will visit Jozani Forest where you will get to see red colobus monkeys (rare species), different plantations, and mangrove boardwalk.
After Jozani we will visit Mungoni and Pete Villages and get to meet the locals and get to know their culture, daily activities like how they grinding millets with mortar pestles, thatching coconut palms, local handicrafts, and much more. Also, we will get to one of the wooden boats that are used as a means of transport between Mungoni and Pete to the village.
Lastly, you will get to visit one of the best beaches in Zanzibar that got the best views that words cannot express. Mtende Beach, located in the South of Zanzibar.
This tour features the real taste of Zanzibar from Jozani forest to villages where you can meet locals in their daily life to beautiful beaches.

Jozani Forest National Park is the only National Park in Zanzibar. Jozani Forest is known for Red Colobus Monkeys which are among the rare species that can only be easily found in Zanzibar.
Other species that can be found at Jozani are Sykes monkey, bushbabies, more than 50 species of butterfly, and 40 species of birds. Butterflies and Birds mostly can be seen early morning or evening.
Also at Jozani forest, there are different types of plantations, some of them are being used for cure, for construction, to create furniture, etc.
After the Jozani forest tour, we will go for a Mangrove boardwalk, where you will learn about Mangroves and how they can help prevent coastal erosion.

You will meet the locals from unspoiled Zanzibar villages (Mungoni and Pete Village) and get to know their culture, their daily activities like grinding millets with mortar pestles, thatching coconut palms, local handicrafts, and much more.
Also, you will see locals climbing coconut trees while singing a local song (Jambo Bwana), and coconut products like, rope, baskets, poles coconut palm caps.
Visiting the seaweed farms, different plantations, Primary and Secondary schools, local herbs doctor (Mganga), and a local clinic.
Mangroves in Zanzibar play a great role in stabilizing the shorelines, preventing erosion, and protecting the land from waves and storms. We will use a boat to explore different types of mangroves that grow in Zanzibar.

You can spend your time relaxing, swimming and having lunch in a restaurant which is on the rock; Eden Rock Restaurant or Usumba Rock Restaurant.
As it is a private trip, you can enjoy your time here, we normally have Approximate 3 hours to spend at Mtende beach but you can always request more time.
